JOHNNY CASH TO PARTICIPATE IN OWN TRIBUTE

"Kindred Spirits," the upcoming tribute to Johnny Cash will get a little help from the Man in Black himself.

Cash's involvement includes a rendition of Cash's "Meet Me In Heaven," where he performs along with his wife June Carter Cash and her cousin Janette Carter. Also featured on the song are Earl Scruggs, Connie Smith, Marty Stuart and Darrin Vincent.

Also included in the project is Cash's daughter Roseanne, who will cover "I Still Miss Someone," as well as such well-renowned artists as Travis Tritt, Dwight Yoakam, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.

The compilation will include 14 tracks and is scheduled to be in stores on September 24.
