John Rich Taken Off Airline Flight

Booted from Southwest Airlines Vegas-to-Nashville Flight.

John Rich was reportedly booted from a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Nashville Sunday (Dec. 4 ) for allegedly being drunk and boisterous aboard the plane. But a spokeswoman from John's record label tells CountryWeekly.com, "Did John Rich have a great time with fans in Vegas? Yes. Was there an altercation? Absolutely not."

A statement from Southwest Airlines would appear to contradict that. "Our crew assessed the situation and determined that the passenger was not fit for travel," read the statement from Southwest, which does not reveal passenger names in these situations.

A source close to the incident told E! News that it was John who was dismissed from the flight after being boisterous with other passengers before boarding and appearing to be intoxicated after taking his seat on the plane. When asked to leave by the flight crew, John complied and left without incident.

As is customary, the airline booked John on a later flight from Las Vegas to Nashville. The airline took the action to assure the safety and comfort of the other passengers, according to the Southwest statement.
