Karen sings on the Life, Death, Love and Freedom songs “Don’t Need This Body,” “For the Children,” “A Ride Back Home” and the first single, “My Sweet Love.” “This record is definitively John, and as a songwriter he is at the top of his game," Karen says. "He's as relevant as he has ever been and I'm so happy he asked me to be a part of the record." Karen also appears in the “My Sweet Love” video, shot in Savannah, Ga., by director Martin Atkins. The rocker had previously recruited all four members of Little Big Town to sing on his previous album, 2006’s Freedom’s Road, and tour with him that year. An expanded version of the group’s latest album, A Place to Land, is due to be released on Oct. 14 by its new label, Capitol Records Nashville.
