Joe Nichols will be giving fans some new music in the next few months. He signed a deal with a newly formed label, Red Bow Records, at a press conference at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville, Wednesday (Oct. 31).

Joe made it official at the event, signing his name to the contract in front of the label's executives and members of the entertainment media. Red Bow Records is formed from a partnership between Broken Bow Records (home to Jason Aldean and Thompson Square) and Red Distribution.

Joe recently parted ways with the Universal South label but now looks forward to making new music with Red Bow. "I don't know the schedule exactly," Joe tells Country Weekly. "I think we're looking at the first of the year for a single and an album sometime in 2013. It depends on what kind of progress we make in the studio."

During his between-labels period, Joe says that he's been "writing my butt off," composing songs that may end up on his new project. "This is a great opportunity," adds Joe, whose past hits include "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off," "Gimmie That Girl" and many others. "I really like the people with this label. It feels like a family."

Red Bow Records also announced the signing of 17-year-old Rachel Farley. Rachel has opened for Brantley Gilbert and Jason Aldean during the past year.
