Joe Don Wants to Shut Twitter Down With Birthday Wishes
Rascal Flatts guitarist tries e-bribing fans to flood him with messages.
Minutes after Joe Don Rooney turned 36 today (Sept. 13), the Rascal Flatts guitarist offered fans a Twitter bribe: “So here’s the deal y’all! I will instant follow anyone who takes the time to b’day msg me!”
Why would the mild-mannered musician make such an offer?
“My b’day wish, is to get so many followers that it shuts twitter down for a day!!!” he tweeted.
As of 9 a.m. ET, Twitter was able to handle the 50 or so birthday messages Joe Don had received.
