JOE DIFFIE ESCAPES DISASTER

Joe Diffie, his band and crew must have some tough guardian angels. As they were traveling on I-40 near Charlotte, N.C. on April 28, someone tossed a brick from an overpass and smashed it into the windshield of Joe's bus. The glass shattered, but luckily the brick hit directly on the center post and took most of the shock, which prevented injury to Joe's driver, Rodney McClure. "I was in the front lounge of the bus," said Joe, "and thought that we might have hit an animal or something. I couldn't tell what had happened. I'm just glad that no one was hurt. We were all very shook up."
