JO DEE'S NEW ALBUM STILL IN THE WORKS

Jo Dee Messina is currently in the process of making her newest album. So far, two songs have made the final cut and are recorded, but Messina is still trying to decide what direction the rest of the album will take when she returns to the studio.

One of the songs already recorded is "I'm Not Going Down," a song that Messina has performed during her live concerts.

Says Messina on the process of making the album: "There's a place where you sit back and figure out where you are. I always say that my albums are an autobiography of what I'm going through, who I am and what I'm living when I'm making the record. The process we're going through right now is finding songs and what it is I feel comfortable saying. . . We're just going to try to make the best record possible."

Jo Dee returns to the studio to continue recording next month.
