Jo Dee Messina Following Blake Shelton?

Perhaps the music industry is onto something. First, Blake Shelton releases a “six-pack” album containing his hit song, “Hillbilly Bone,” (with other six-pack albums to be released later this year), and now Jo Dee Messina is slated to release a trio of albums in 2010. This marks her first set of new music in six years.

The first release, Unmistakable: Love, is set for release on April 27. Two other albums, Unmistakable: Drive and Unmistakable: Inspiration are set for release later in the year. Jo Dee says that she is excited to let fans hear the new music she has been working on for so long, including her single, “That’s God.”  “I’m excited to have the fans finally get a copy of it. I’ve had a lot recorded for years now, and this stuff is really strong,” she tells Country Weekly. “I’ve done a lot of songwriting for this record, which is kind of scary because it is so personal. It is my guts out on a page.”

After getting married and having son Noah, Jo Dee says fans can expect to hear some different sides of the singer in her new music. “People get to see that I have the same eyes, but I’m looking at things from a different angle. It’s interesting to let people see a different side [of me]. I have a feisty side that people are familiar with, but there is a side that loves and cares and is passionate. You can hear the growth in the album.”
