Thursday afternoon (June 12), Jerrod Niemann celebrated his second career chart-topping hit, “Drink to That All Night,” in Nashville at Music City Tippler. Joining Jerrod for the good times were Brett and Brad Warren, Lance Miller and Derek George—the song’s four writers.

Jerrod’s excitement for himself came second to how proud he was of the songwriting team’s success, especially toward Lance Miller—who was experiencing his first No. 1. Lance is also responsible for getting the song to Jerrod for his High Noon album.

“You never know what’s going to happen [in] this crazy business,” Jerrod said from the stage as he reflected on the song’s life. “Music is always changing. To be able to lean on people that you love and do this stuff together is a dream come true. To see all these people in here [today] and how everybody’s contributed to this happening right now is the best part—the fact that I get to be the vehicle for such a great song that keeps you out on the road, making music and having fun and doing what we all love.”

The day also drew out several names to help in the celebration, including songwriters Dallas Davidson, Vicky McGehee and Rob Hatch.
