Jerrod Niemann Is a Real Loser

Niemann, Jerrod

And the hits keep comin’ for hot country newcomer Jerrod Niemann.

You know he scored his first No. 1 country hit with “Lover, Lover,” and you know that that single has sold more than 500,000 downloads. And you probably know his debut album, Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury, entered Billboard’s country albums chart at No. 1 in July.

But now, Jerrod has truly reached the pinnacle: He’s playing a Nashville dive called Losers.

The bar’s website calls it a “no frills” place, which is being generous. And it has generated such a buzz that no-frills stars like Toby Keith and Jamey Johnson are regulars.

Kid Rock once played an entire unannounced acoustic set in there, and Ronnie Milsap also played a packed, sweat-drenched show at Losers.

Jerrod isn’t just playing for the free popcorn and young denim-clad ladies: He’ll be the headliner for an annual fundraiser show called Buds-n-Suds.

If you’re in town, check it out, Aug. 25, ’cause the party always spills out into the parking lot and it goes really late.
