Jerrod Goes Back to School

While in New York City promoting the release of his new album, Free the Music, Jerrod Niemann visited with Staten Island's renowned PS22 Chorus, a group of musically minded students who have made a big splash on YouTube with their dynamic renditions of popular songs like Adele's "Rolling in the Deep."

The extremely talented fifth-graders joined Jerrod for a performance of his hit single "Shinin' on Me," and he even answered a few questions for his eager pupils. But it was an impromptu performance of a song about his grandfather getting popped in the kisser with a baseball that really got the students going.

As thanks for letting him disrupt their rehearsal, Jerrod presented the chorus with a new drum set and piano—and they presented him with an official PS22 Chorus T-shirt.

It's hard to tell who was more excited in this video.
