Jennifer Nettles Releases Debut Solo Album

Jennifer Nettles is releasing her long-awaited album, That Girl, Tuesday (Jan. 14), officially launching her solo career. The album was produced by the acclaimed Rick Rubin, known for his work with Johnny Cash and several rock bands.

Jennifer talks about the project in the Jan. 20 issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands now. “Everything was very organic,” she notes, referring to the scaled-back production. Jennifer adds that a solo tour is on the way, which will reflect the album’s style. “I’m gonna go to the beautiful theaters and music halls across the country,” she says. “Smaller places that will really honor what the music is about.”

Watch Jennifer’s performance of “Falling” from the new album on the Today show, Tues., Jan. 14. For more on Jennifer, check out her website.
