Singer, actress and Sugarland co-founder Jennifer Nettles, has announced the title and release date of her second solo album. The project, titled Playing With Fire, will be released on May 13.

“I am so proud of this record,” Jennifer says. “I can’t wait to share it with my fans and hear their reactions. It is a ton of sass and emotion and fun.”

Playing With Fire was produced by Dann Huff (who has also guided projects by Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, among other notables) and recorded in Nashville, its 11 tracks co-written by Jennifer along with hit writers like Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally and Lori McKenna. The album’s debut single, “Unlove You,” is out now.

The new music follows Jennifer’s TV-acting debut on NBC’s Coat of Many Colors, a film based on the iconic song by Dolly Parton which saw Jennifer taking the role of Dolly’s mother, Avie Lee.

Currenly traveling on the CMT 2016 Next Women of Country Tour with Brandy, Lindsay Ell and Tara Thompson, Jennifer will also appear on the March 24 episode of CMT Crossroads alongside power-pop legends Cheap Trick.
