Jason’s New Single Sparks Other Stars to Post “1994” Pics

Jason Aldean, country star, budding actor—and marketing genius.

Jason's new single is "1994," a song that gives a nod to that year, and it even name-checks Joe Diffie, one of country's biggest stars back then.

As part of the song's release, Jason has called on friends and fans to post pics or memories from 1994, and Keith Urban was among the first to oblige.

“@Jason_Aldean I was rockin the oversize thrift store jacket in #1994!!!!! -KU,” Keith wrote in a caption for a long-haired publicity pic.

Carrie Underwood loved it: "This. Is. AWESOME!" she tweeted, along with a link to Keith's pic.

So where was Carrie's 1994 picture?

"I was 11, so I doubt it's as interesting! I will look for one, though," she posted.

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum also was a tot in 1994, and Jason found a pic to post of Hillary. “LOVE the new song!” Hillary said in a link to the pic, which stars her dad, who is sporting a semi-mullet.

Even Tim McGraw got in on the action, posting a 1994 album cover featuring him in a puffy black shirt that Seinfeld fans would love.

“Hey @Jason_Aldean check out this shirt man, that was happenin’ in 1994,” Tim explained via Twitter.

Check out the upcoming issue of CW, where Jason discusses his massive Night Train Tour and possibly recruiting Joe Diffie. “If we shoot a video for [“1994”], I would love to have him be a part of that. We’ll see what happens. If he’s into it, I would love it.”
