Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band, Thompson Square Lead ACA Nominations

American Country Awards air Dec. 5 on Fox

Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band and Thompson Square are the leading nominees for the second annual American Country Awards, which is set to air Dec. 5 on Fox.

Zac Brown Band and Jason lead with eight nominations each and both are up for Artist of the Year. ZBB's other nominations include Artist of the Year: Duo or Group, Album of the Year (You Get What You Give) and Single of the Year ("As She's Walking Away" featuring Alan Jackson), among others. 

Jason's single "My Kinda Party" earned him nods for Music Video: Male and Single of the Year: Male. He also earned a nomination for Album of the Year for My Kinda Party, which has sold more than 2 million copies. His My Kinda Party Tour garnered him a Touring Headline Act of the Year nomination.

Meanwhile, duo Thompson Square earned seven nominations for this year's ACAs. The song and video for "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" garnered multiple nominations, including Single of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Single of the Year: Duo or Group, Single of the Year: New Artist and Music Video: Duo, Group or Collaboration.  They also earned a nomination in the Artist of the Year: New Artist category.

Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth will host the two-hour awards show. Fans can vote for their favorite nominees by visiting theacas.com. Voting ends Nov. 11 for all categories with the exception of Artist of the Year, which closes Dec. 2.
