Jason Aldean and Wife Jessica Talk About Marriage: “We’re Fine”

“I think anytime you go through something like that, it’s tough.”

Jason Aldean addressed his recent marriage ordeal and talked about his road to stardom on the Thursday (Nov. 15) edition of CBS This Morning. For the first time, Jason and his wife, Jessica, publicly opened up about photographs that made the Internet rounds showing Jason embracing another woman at a Los Angeles nightspot. Jason quickly apologized to his fans for the incident, adding that he left the bar alone that night.

“I mean, I think we’re fine, you know?” Jason said when asked how the incident affected his marriage. “I think anytime you go through something like that, it’s tough. We’ve been together a long time, and been through a lot of things together. Those are things that most people get to deal with in private. But we didn’t have the luxury of doing that.”

Jason and Jessica have been married for 11 years and have two young daughters. Jason’s new album, Night Train, debuted at No. 1 and he has played to sold-out venues throughout the year. That's a complete turnaround from his early days as a performer.

“I remember standing on the stage and looking out there and there being, you know, 100 people watching,” Jason said on the program.
