Did ya catch the odd coupling of Jason Aldean and Ludacris on the CMT awards Wednesday night? Yeah, that was the first time they hung out together, but now the two are practically BFFs. Kind of.

“We spent most of [the day] hanging out to make it where it wasn’t weird when we went to sing,” Jason told reporters gathered at Nashville’s LP Field for the first night of stadium shows for CMA Music Fest.

“I thought it came off great. I had a blast performing with him,” he said. “We got each other’s numbers and we’re going to keep in touch. When I go to Atlanta, I’m definitely going to call him. He’s like the mayor!”
