Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Sugarland Score at Grammy Preview

Thanks to Jason Aldean, The Band Perry and Sugarland, country music was front and center at The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!— Countdown to Music's Biggest Night, a one-hour special broadcast live on CBS from Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

In addition to the concert portion of the show, which found Jason earning a standing ovation for his performance of "Dirt Road Anthem" with guest Ludacris, Sugarland collaborating with Lady Gaga on "You and I," and The Band Perry, which picked up an all-genre Best New Artist nod, turning heads on an "Independence"/"Free Fallin'" mashup, the special highlighted a number of genres.

It also turned the spotlight on country music, acknowledging, among others, Martina McBride, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood.

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Feb. 12, 2012, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on CBS from 8 to 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.
