Jamie O’Neal Covers the Classics

New album set for release March 18.

Jamie O’Neal is set to release her first new studio album in five years, on which she’ll be taking on some of country’s classic tunes. The album, appropriately titled Eternal, hits stores and Internet outlets on March 18.

Among the selections are Jamie’s versions of “Help Me Make It Through the Night” and “The Sweetest Thing,” along with a duet with Andy Griggs on the George Jones-Tammy Wynette chestnut “Golden Ring.”

The bonus track, “Wide Awake,” is the sole original song on the album. “I grew up listening to these songs and was shaped by the artists who originally made them famous,” Jamie noted in a release about Eternal. “It was an honor and a challenge to record these wonderful songs. There‘s also a bonus track that fans have been asking me to record.”

Jamie, whose hits include “There Is No Arizona” and “When I Think About Angels,” will be touring around the country to promote the new record.

Eternal‘s track list:

  1. Rock Me
  2. Don’t Come Home A Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind)
  3. Leavin’ on Your Mind
  4. Golden Ring (featuring Andry Griggs)
  5. Help Me Make It Through the Night
  6. One Day I Walk
  7. Just One Time
  8. The Sweetest Thing
  9. I’ve Done Enough Dyin’ Today
  10. Born to Run
