Jake Owen only recently kicked off his headlining road show, CMT on Tour Jake Owen: The Summer Never Ends 2012, but he's already making some tour history. He's reached the mark for the most consecutive sellouts since the CMT on Tour series began 11 years ago. The tour, which also features special guests Love and Theft and Florida Georgia Line, kicked off Oct. 10 in New York with a sold-out show and followed with a capacity-crowd show in Detroit. Upcoming shows in Charlotte, Chicago, Des Moines, Iowa, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and St. Louis are also advance sellouts.

Jake recently talked with Country Weekly about the tour and he recalled being part of an earlier CMT on Tour series when he opened for Sugarland and Little Big Town. "It was one of the first tours I was on," Jake said. "You always want to work your way up and build your career where you can have your name on the ticket. Fortunately, I got asked to do this CMT tour. It's something I have dreamed about since my college days of playing the bars down in Florida."

The CMT on Tour series has also helped launch the careers of Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and several other artists.
