Jake Owen Spends Weekend Visiting With ESPN’s “College GameDay” Crew

“Days of Gold” singer flaunts his FSU pride.

Over the weekend, Jake Owen stopped by the ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast to show his support of the Florida State Seminoles as they faced off against the University of Miami Hurricanes at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla.

Jake brought his alma mater’s team good luck, as they defeated Miami with a final score of 41-14 in Saturday’s game.

Jake also shared the good news that his dad has been declared cancer free, and the tweeted a photo of the pair of them visiting with Florida State's all-star quarterback Jameis Winston.

SEC football is not the only area where Jake knows how to pick a winner. His latest single, “Days of Gold,” is now a Top 15 hit as it continues to climb the charts.

The tune is the fastest-rising single to date for Jake, who has scored four chart-topping hits in the last couple of years with “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Alone With You,” “The One That Got Away" and "Anywhere With You.”

Jake recently wrapped up on Jason Aldean’s Night Train Tour, and in 2014, he will headline his own Days of Gold Tour. In the meantime, fans can snag a copy of Jake’s Days of Gold album when it hits stores on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
