Jake Owen helped toss a guy who punched a woman fan in the face at the start of his show Thursday (May 1) in Fort Wayne, Ind.

“If you’re a man and you touch a woman, you’re a bad dude, man,” Jake told the crowd.

The victim, “Ashley,” told local radio station K105 that her eye was almost swollen shut.

“I think this girl just got really pissed off at me for probably being in her way,” she told the radio station.

“And she pretty much grabbed me by my hair, took me to the ground, started dragging me. And I put my hands up and this dude that was with her just wailed me in the eye.”

Jake isn’t the first to confront a guy who put hands on a woman during a show. Tim McGraw did the same in Washington state in 2008 when he literally helped drag the guy out of the crowd and then shoved him across the stage.
