It’s the hottest and one of the most expensive cars—more than $100,000—on the road right now.

Jake Owen is the proud owner of a 2014 Arctic white C7 Stingray Corvette. Think of a white Batmobile.

“I’ve always been a big fan of Corvettes,” he tells Nashville’s WSMV-TV. “I was just never at a point in my life where I could afford one.”

As part of this personal historic moment, Jake actually visited the Corvette plant and museum in Bowling Green, Ky., about an hour north of Nashville, when he played a gig there last week (April 24).

Of course, the museum has had a little history of its own when a sinkhole recently swallowed eight prized Corvettes. The cars have been removed, but the 60-foot hole remains, and museum officials temporarily opened the Skydome area so folks could have a look.

Jake was among them.

“It’s unfortunate it happened, but it’s part of the story now,” Jake said.

If you like to dream, we recommend the “Build Your Own Stingray Corvette” feature on the Chevy website.
