ILL Faith Cancels Aretha Tribute

An under–the–weather Faith Hill was forced to cancel her planned appearance Friday night, Feb. 8, at a tribute to soul legend Aretha Franklin.

Faith had been slated to perform at the Los Angeles Convention Center as Aretha was honored by MusiCares, an organization that helps members of the music industry in times of need, but was sidelined by a bronchial infection. "I am devastated and deeply disappointed that I will not be able to sing at the MusiCares dinner honoring Aretha," she said. "I have been looking forward to being a part of this event for months, and even after being diagnosed with a bronchial infection, I came to L.A. anyway hoping that I'd be able to sing. I simply can't."
