“This is where all my dreams came true.”

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina made quite a splash on the CMT Music Awards red carpet, just outside Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. And yes, that’s the same arena where Lauren auditioned for Idol.

“I auditioned in this stadium,” she told The Tennessean’s Heather Byrd. “This is where all my dreams came true, so it’s really cool to be back and see it all again.”

FYI, Scotty and Lauren are not a romantic couple, though they’re aware that EVERYONE seems to think so.

“We know,” Lauren said, laughing, “but we’re not.”
