Hunger Games Soundtrack No. 1 on All-Genre Chart

More than 175,000 copies sell in the album’s first week of release.

As expected, The Hunger Games soundtrack—which includes songs from Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert's Pistol Annies—finished first on the Billboard Top 200 album chart in its debut week.

The soundtrack sold more than 175,000 copies, beating out new music from The Shins and old music from Adele and boy band One Direction.

More good news for Taylor—one of her Hunger Games soundtrack songs, "Eyes Open," sold more than 176,000 copies in its first week. And that's good for a No. 4 slot on the Billboard digital songs chart.
