How Do Miranda and Blake Keep Connected?

“It’s good to have a bit of time to miss the person and to save up stories for when you get home,” she says.

It isn’t easy being the current king and queen of country music.

Blake Shelton spends lots of time in L.A. filming NBC’s The Voice, while his missus, Miranda Lambert, tours a lot. Oh yeah, and Blake has to tour some, too.

“We’ve been married almost a year and a half, but have only been in the same place together for about five months,” Miranda tells Good Housekeeping magazine. "At this rate, we'll be newlyweds for three years."

So how do the two stay connected? Text messages.

"We're not really big phone talkers," Miranda says.

"I think it's good to have a bit of time to miss the person and to save up stories for when you get home."
