Hits and Homers

Popular children's characters Hollywood Hal & Rhinestone Al are hosting an all-star benefit in Baton Rouge, La., Oct. 12, to build a baseball field for the Miracle League.

The benefit, billed as A Night of Hits! & Home Runs, will be held at the Baton Rouge Marriott hotel, and will feature former Lonestar lead singer Richie McDonald, Marty Raybon, Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, B.J. Thomas and John Conlee. Country Weekly Editor in Chief Larry Holden and GAC host Storme Warren will also be joining the fun. Hollywood Hal & Rhinestone Al, played by Baton Rouge radio personalities Scott Innes and Jim Hogg, have put together the benefit to build a baseball field for handicapped children. Scott, the voice behind the famed animated charcater, Scooby Doo, and Jim have their own TV series which is seen in Louisiana and other parts of the country. The event will include an auction with several celebrity items up for bid, such as a cowboy hat signed by George Strait and a Taylor Swift autographed guitar.
