Hee Haw Star Jim Hager Dies

Jim Hager, one-half of the popular duo The Hagers with twin brother Jon, died May 1 at age 66 in Nashville of an apparent heart attack.

Jim and Jon were regulars on the long-running Hee Haw variety series from 1969–1986, performing songs and appearing in comedy sketches. The Hagers released five singles from 1969 to 1971 but saw little chart success. Funeral arrangements for Jim are still pending.
