Hair’s the Thing: Alan Jackson Does Not Want His Mullet Back

When his kids see old pics of Alan, “they make fun of me now,” he says.

Alan Jackson fans will hear some familiar sounds in his new album, Thirty Miles West, which comes out Tuesday (June 5), as he revisits some musical themes that made him a superstar.

But fans won't see his mullet back on the CD cover.

"My children think I've changed for the better," Alan tells ABC News Radio. "They see those old pictures of me and the long hair and all that mullet-looking thing and they make fun of me now."

Awwww. Even country star dads get grief from their teen kids about old pictures.

But it's not every dad who plays on NBC's Today show and on David Letterman's late-night talk show. Alan will appear on both on Tuesday.
