Gwyneth Paltrow joined co-stars Tim McGraw and Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl) and superstar/producer Tobey Maguire (Spider-Man) for the premiere of new movie Country Strong in Nashville last night (Nov. 8).

In the movie, Gwyneth does her own singing as she plays a troubled country star trying to make a comeback. And on Wednesday night, she’ll perform the first radio single, the movie’s title track, “Country Strong,” on the Country Music Association Awards.

“I’m nervous about it but I’m excited. I’m starting to feel more excited than nervous,” she told Country Weekly. “We’ve been rehearsing a lot and now I feel prepared. But of course I feel very nervous to sing in front of all those amazing artists. Hopefully it’ll be OK.”

So does Gwyneth want to be a country radio star? “Ya know, I don’t know. Up to today, I’m so thrilled I’ve done this film. And I got one song on country radio and I’m so proud of the music.

“And, um, I don’t know," she continued. "It could go any way. I’m just very grateful to be where I am today with it all.”
