Gretchen Wraps “Bars” Tour

Gretchen Wilson has wrapped up her 10-city Back to the Bars Tour, which raised more than $1.5 million for charity.

The venues for Gretchen’s tour were mostly smaller, more intimate club settings, including Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon and the Gibson Beale Street Showcase in Memphis. “My musical roots are in clubs and bars,” Gretchen explains. “We’ve done all these huge arenas and stadiums over the past three years, which has been amazing, but there’s nothing like playing for people standing just a few feet away.” Among the charities which benefited from Gretchen’s tour were St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the American Heart & Stroke Association. Gretchen’s next album, One of the Boys, will be released May 15.
