GRETCHEN READY FOR BOOK RELEASE

Gretchen Wilson is about to add the word “author” to her list of accomplishments, as she gets ready for the publication of her first book—Redneck Woman: Stories From My Life.

“I didn’t think six months ago that I was ever going to write a book,” Gretchen tells Neil Haislop’s Nashville IQ. “I just kept thinking, ‘There isn’t anything.’ I’m such an ordinary person that there’s not a story,” she says. But now that the book is complete, Gretchen could not be more pleased. The book details Gretchen’s past and also captures her on the road, as she shares stories of touring. “It’s like I’m hearing them for the first time,” Gretchen notes. Gretchen’s book arrives in stores Nov. 1.
