The book will highlight Gretchen’s incredible rags-to-riches story from a poor young girl in tiny Pocahontas, Ill., to the heights of country stardom. It also takes readers into the everyday life of the superstar and mom. “More than anything else, I wanted to write this book just to be able to connect on a different level with my fans,” says Gretchen. Country Weekly will run an excerpt from the book in the Dec. 4 issue, on newsstands Nov. 20.
