GOLD FOR TAYLOR SWIFT

Taylor Swift hit the top 5 with her single “Tim McGraw” and now her self-titled debut album has just been certified gold for sales of a half-million copies.

Upon hearing the news, the teen star raved, “The support I’ve gotten from my label, radio and the fans is just unbelievable and undeniable. I didn’t want to have a party for the release of the album, I wanted to wait to celebrate something fantastic. I think it’s time to have that party!” Taylor received some additional good news when she found out that the video for “Tim McGraw” will hit No. 1 on the CMT Top 20 Countdown this week.
