Glen Campbell Rocks

Glen Campbell is releasing a new CD, Meet Glen Campbell, featuring remakes of popular rock songs and appearances by members of rock bands Cheap Trick and Jane’s Addiction, August 19.

The album includes Glen’s versions of Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life),” John Lennon’s “Grow Old With Me” and two songs by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, “Angel Dream” and “Walls (Circus).” Several rockers have guest slots on the album. “I really like all of the songs and I had a great time recording them,” says Glen, best known for crossover hits like “Wichita Lineman,” “Rhinestone Cowboy” and others. “While I didn’t write these songs, this sounds like a Glen Campbell album, and that’s important to me.
