Country trio Trailer Choir announced today (Feb. 1) on its website that it’s becoming a duo.

Crystal Hoyt “is departing the group to pursue other interests,” according to the announcement.

The group was discovered and backed by Toby Keith, who also took the trio out as an opening act on several tours. Trailer Choir’s Big Vinny often attracts live TV cameras on red carpets by flopping on his belly to do “the Worm.”

And the Worm will live: Big Vinny and Butter say they plan to stay together to keep Trailer Choir alive.

"Crystal is a dear friend, and we wish her much success,” Big Vinny said in the online statement.

Says Crystal: “Working with Butter and Vinny has been an incredible experience, and I wish them nothing but the best.”
