On Wednesday (Feb. 8), Miranda Lambert will make her acting debut in an episode of NBC's Law & Order: SVU. In the episode, Miranda portrays Lacy Ford, an aspiring singer who is sexually assaulted by a television producer.

"In my head I've built a character from the ground up about Lacy," Miranda explains in a promotional video for the show. "Because there's not a lot of information on my character in the script. I see her as a girl from the South that comes to New York City to try to make it and probably, like, has a bad home life and has issues from her dad and is looking for approval and for that big break, and is a little bit scared that anything could get in the way of her dream come true."

"I'm a country music fan," says Dann Florek, who portrays Captain Donald Cragen. "I love her stuff. I think 'The House that Built Me' was one of the best songs of the year." He was also impressed with Miranda's acting abilities. "I didn't know she was a first-time actress because I've seen a number of videos and I thought she was great in them. I'm a fan. I actually was giggling. I think she's going to be real to people." Catch a peek at Miranda portraying Lacy Ford below.
