George Strait Rules the Album Charts

They don't call him King George for nothing! George Strait once again proved his colossal staying power as his latest album, Love Is Everything, debuted at the top of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. George also captured the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Top 200, which includes all genres. Love Is Everything features the hit single, "Give It All We Got Tonight."

The good news comes as George celebrated his 61st birthday this past Saturday (May 18). “This has been a fantastic birthday week,” George said in a statement about the album. “I’m thankful that my fans are excited about the new album and enjoying the music.” George co-wrote two of the album's selections, “The Night Is Young” and the touching “I Believe,” with his son Bubba and veteran songwriter Dean Dillon.

You can catch more details about George's latest album in the May 27 issue of Country Weekly, featuring George on the cover. The issue is on newsstands now.
