George Strait to Receive Billboard Touring Award

George is the first country artist to be honored.

George Strait can add another honor to his already lengthy list when he receives the Legend of Live Award from Billboard magazine, Nov. 14 in New York.

George's ceremony will be held during the 10th annual Billboard Touring Awards.

The Legend of Live Award is given to artists who have made an enduring impact on the live touring industry.

George, who has toured steadily for the past 30 years, will be the first country artist to receive the honor. Past recipients include Sir Elton John, rock bands Journey and Rush and last year's honoree, Neil Diamond.

Congratulations to George on this well-deserved award.
