George Strait Loses His Voice

George Strait was forced to skip three planned performances over the last several days when he was stricken with laryngitis.

The singer started having voice trouble on Thursday, Jan. 24, in Jacksonville, Fla. Opening acts Little Big Town and Sarah Johns performed at the show before the crowd was informed that George wouldn't be able to go on. George had hoped to sing the following night in Columbia, S.C., but found that his condition did not improve. He then canceled his remaining weekend show, which was to be held on Sunday night in Baltimore, Md. That show has been rescheduled for April 4, while the Columbia show will now be held April 5 and Jacksonville on April 6. Tickets for all three shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates.
