George Strait Hits Billboard Milestone

Maybe George Strait should borrow Alan Jackson's Freight Train as the title of his own next album, because nothing is slowing down George's 30-year career.

With his latest hit, "I Gotta Get To You", hitting the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, George can now say he’s had a Top 10 hit on that chart every year for the past 30 years. No artist in the history of any Billboard chart has managed that particular feat.

George's scored his first Top 10 in 1981 with his very first song, “Unwound.” He has charted 82 Top 10 hits overall, second only to Eddy Arnold’s record of 92 Top 10 hits.

George recently added more tour dates to his co-headlining tour with Reba McEntire, and is up for Entertainer of the Year and Top Male Vocalist at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be April 18 in Las Vegas.
