George Jones Reschedules Concerts Due to Health Concerns

Possum still recuperating from respiratory ailment.

George Jones has rescheduled shows in Minnesota and South Dakota—originally slated for Friday (April 20) and Saturday (April 21)—after doctors advised that he needs additional time to recover from a recent upper respiratory infection. The doctors have advised that he stay home and recuperate for another week.

No other shows have been canceled or rescheduled as of now.

“I never want to cancel a show, but I have to do what the doctors tell me,” George said in a statement. “I thank all the fans from the bottom of my heart for their prayers and I look forward to seeing them on the road soon.”
