George Jones Released From Hospital

The country legend was treated for a respiratory infection.

As expected, George Jones was released from the hospital Tuesday (April 3) after being treated for an upper respiratory infection.

His wife and manager, Nancy Jones, posted the following comments on Facebook: "George and I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and please continue to lift him up in prayer. We have an update: George is home and continuing to recover. He came home today (April 3) and we hope to see all of you on the road soon. Once again, thank you all for the prayers and being so good to us."

The 80-year-old singer was admitted to a Nashville-area hospital on March 29.
