George Jones continues on the road to improved health, says the legend's wife, Nancy. George had recently been hospitalized for an upper-respiratory infection but now looks forward to getting back on the road.

Nancy posted a message on Facebook, saying, "George saw his doctor today [Thursday, June 21] and the doctor said it was time to hit the road and start singing to his fans. So, Possum will be seeing you all soon. He is so excited. Once again, we want to thank everyone for your prayers and love shown to us."

On Tuesday [June 19], Nancy posted a message on Facebook noting that George is "feeling great" and was rehearsing with his band. "He said to tell everyone, 'he don't need no rockin' chair,'" Nancy added in the message, referring to George's 1992 hit, "I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair."
