GEORGE JONES CANCELS SHOWS DUE TO BROKEN FOOT

George Jones broke his right foot last week, after slipping at a fast food restaurant. Due to the injury, Jones was forced to cancel his weekend shows in Tyler, Texas, and Moskogee, Oklahoma, however those shows have been rescheduled for May 4 and May 12.

Tough-guy Jones, who will have to spend the next six weeks in a foam "boot," did not immediately realize his foot was broken. It wasn't until hours later, after he noticed that the pain and swelling had not subsided, that he consulted a doctor.

Although ordered to stay off his feet for a few days, Jones will continue his touring schedule on Friday, with two shows in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
