GEORGE DEBUTS AT NO. 1

George Strait entered the Billboard Country Albums chart at No. 1 with his latest CD, It Just Comes Natural.

George also debuted at No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart. It Just Comes Natural sold more than 230,000 copies its debut week, and knocked Alan Jackson’s Like Red on a Rose into second place. George took a different approach to this CD, recording in friend Jimmy Buffett’s Florida Keys studio instead of Nashville. He also included 15 songs on the CD, mainly because he could not find any he wanted to eliminate. Look for more on George in the upcoming Nov. 6 issue of Country Weekly, on newsstands Oct. 23.
