GARTH'S NEW PRODUCTION

Garth Brooks is teaming up with Whoopi Goldberg to executive produce a Christmas special, Call Me Claus, for TNT.

Whoopi is set to star in the two-hour movie, which will also feature Nigel Hawthorne, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Victor Garber. Garth probably won't appear onscreen, he said via satellite from California on Tuesday, but fans will likely get to hear him on the film's soundtrack.

The movie is due out for Christmas 2001. And if you're a fan of Garth memorabilia, you'll be happy to know that the home video will be released just nine days after the TNT premiere.
