The “Pink Edition” of The Ultimate Hits, set for release Nov. 6, will be available exclusively through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization’s online store at komen.org/garth. Two-thirds of the album’s $15 cost will go to the charity. In addition to the standard edition’s two CDs and one DVD, the “Pink Edition” of The Ultimate Hits will include information on breast cancer and an instructional card on breast self-examination. Garth says he was inspired to help Susan G. Komen for the Cure after wife Trisha Yearwood participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, a 60-mile walk benefiting the organization. Devoting proceeds from album sales, he joked, is “a heck of a lot easier than me trying to walk 60 miles.”
