Garth Is Going to Vegas

Garth Brooks announced at an afternoon press conference, Oct. 15, that he will perform a series of regular shows at the Wynn Encore Resort in Las Vegas, beginning Dec. 11. Garth will play one Friday night show, two Saturday shows and one Sunday show for 15 weeks a year. The first show will be Dec. 11, followed by a series of shows Jan. 1 through Jan. 3.

Garth and the venue hope to continue the series for the next five years. Tickets for each show are $125 each, sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets for the first five weekends of shows go on sale Oct. 24.

With these Las Vegas shows, Garth officially ends his self-imposed retirement that he announced in 2001. The schedule allows him to spend time with wife Trisha Yearwood and his three daughters at their home in Oklahoma.
